She tells her story
Funny, serious, or both. She verifies her ID, picks a surgeon, and her goal is set to that surgeon's written quote. Money is only paid to practices that pass Fundbags verification.
Supporters chip in
Anyone can give from $5 up to $10,000 per donation. No account needed.
Her surgeon gets paid
Once the surgery is scheduled, the money for it goes straight to the surgical practice. Not to a personal bank account.
Everyone can get a thank-you
Coming soon: after surgery she may send all of her supporters the same personal thank-you, like a short video or a swimsuit photo.

Is my donation tax-deductible?
No. Fundbags is a for-profit crowdfunding platform, not a charity, so donations are not tax-deductible.
Does my money go to her or to the surgeon?
The amount needed for surgery is paid directly to her surgeon's practice, once it passes Fundbags verification and the procedure is scheduled. If a campaign raises more than its goal, the extra goes to her for recovery and related costs. Every campaign shows the most it will accept.
What if the surgery never happens?
Donors are refunded. See our refund policy for the details.
Do I have to donate a certain amount to get a thank-you?
No. Thank-yous are coming soon. When they launch, every supporter gets the same one after surgery, whatever they gave. Nothing on Fundbags is for sale.
How does Fundbags make money?
An 8% platform fee on donations, optional tips from supporters, and advertising from surgical practices, which is always labeled as sponsored. Card processing fees go to our payment processor, not to Fundbags.
